272 Foot length, 40 Foot beam
The final resting place for the Chuyo Maru is just south of Ngargol Island in Malakal Harbor. She is located at N7 20.422 E134 26.370.
.
The Chuyo Maru was attacked by aircraft from the Carrier Lexington as part of Task Force 58, Operation Desecrate One, on March 30 and again the following day by aircraft from the Carriers Yorktown and Lexington but was not reported to sink until April 1. .
